Redfern Legal Centre CEO to vacate post

Redfern Legal Centre (RLC) has announced that CEO Katherine McKernan will be vacating the post.

McKernan will be transitioning out of the role over the next few weeks. She was appointed as CEO earlier this year.

RLC Chair Kerry O’Brien acknowledged McKernan’s contributions to the organisation in her short tenure.

“In her time with us, Katherine has initiated a number of important projects with RLC in accordance with our Strategic Plan 2020-2025, engaged with staff, the board and our networks well, and has engaged in public advocacy work for RLC and the community legal sector. On behalf of the board and staff, we thank Katherine for her work during this time,” O’Brien said.

Helping O’Brien lead the RLC on the board are Colin Biggers & Paisley pro bono head Tamara Sims, governance specialist Alexandra Finley, Engine Australian managing director Craig Young, retired solicitor Linda Tucker, FoodByUs co-founder Ben Lipschitz and Nexus Management Consulting director Gregory Masters.

A replacement for McKernan has yet to be unveiled.
