The new partner establishes the firm as a key player in insolvency

Keypoint Law has appointed a new consulting principal in Melbourne as it moves offices in the city.

Vaughan Hager has joined the firm from boutique firm Nick Stretch Legal, where he was partner for more than two years. Prior to that, he was a sole practitioner. He’s also served as a senior associate at Mills Oakley and associate at legacy Norton Gledhill.

Hager’s practice is focused on focuses on insolvency, corporate restructures and commercial litigation. He regularly acts for many of Melbourne’s leading insolvency practitioners. He also specialises in defamation law.

He joins the firm in its new office in Melbourne at Level 35, 600 Bourke Street.

“Vaughan’s joining represents a milestone for Keypoint in a number of ways.  It brings our team of Melbourne consulting principals to five, with our Melbourne practice now covering property, tax, litigation and insolvency.  It also establishes Keypoint as a significant player in the insolvency area, with the firm’s insolvency team now comprising six senior lawyers nationally,” said Warren Kalinko, Keypoint CEO.

Hager said he looks forward to continuing to build strong relationships with clients and his fellow principals.

“In particular, I am excited to be joining at a time of real momentum for the Melbourne practice and to working together to continue the firm’s development as a premium boutique brand,” he said.

Keypoint Law, established by UK firm Keystone Law in early 2014, now has 26 senior lawyers. It has offices in Canberra, Melbourne, and Sydney.

Keystone recently announced that it will be listing on the London Stock Exchange.
