Mills Oakley acted for Bureau Veritas on the acquisition of a majority stake in an Australian construction compliance service provider.
The European certifications giant acquired a 65% stake in McKenzie Group for an unspecified amount, further expanding its reach in Australia.
This is the second time Mills Oakley acted for Bureau Veritas. The firm acted in the company’s acquisition of Dairy Technical Services, Australia’s leading microbiological and chemical laboratory services provider to the food and dairy industries, last year.
The latest deal will see Bureau Veritas employ more than 2,000 people in Australia, said Mills Oakley partner Daniel Livingston.
The Mills Oakley team was led by Livingston. It also included special counsel Nicole Tumiati and lawyer Ellen Rattray. Paul Washington of Redman Lynch Washington acted for the McKenzie Group.
