Meridian Lawyers launches national recoveries practice

Meridian Lawyers has launched a national recoveries practice to expand on its insurance offering.

New principal Benjamin Karalus is set to lead the firm’s new national recoveries practice from Melbourne. He comes in with over 18 years of experience as an experienced insurance litigator and barrister.

He joins the firm following the hire of several members from his team.

The firm has also brought in Sally Morshead as a consultant for its Sydney office. She has more than 17 years of specialisation in complex indemnity issues related to property, professional indemnity, and general liability.

Consultant Monique Purcell also joins Meridian as client relationships and strategy specialist. Managing director Paul Baker said that the hires marked “a significant milestone” for the firm.
