Australia CFO David Willimott also takes on the role of COO
Australia consumer markets head Marshall Bromwich has been announced as the new Australia country head at Norton Rose Fulbright (NRF).
Bromwich officially succeeds Alison Deitz on 1 June. He presently leads the firm’s corporate team and spearheads its APAC corporate strategic initiative in addition to heading up consumer markets.
“I look forward to working with Marshall as we build on the success of last year’s EMEAPAC integration and continue to grow profitably in Australia and across the wider Asia Pacific region”, said Peter Scott, NRF’s EMEAPAC managing partner. “Marshall brings a wealth of experience from his time leading our Australian corporate and consumer markets practices and his appointment strongly supports our APAC strategy, ensuring we are aligned to our clients’ evolving needs and are well positioned to deliver seamless, cross‑border support across the region”.
Bromwich will juggle his responsibilities as Australia country head with his corporate practice. He will work alongside COO David Willimott, who was Australia CFO.
“I am excited to be taking on the role of Australia Country Head at this important time of growth for the firm. The integration of our Australia and EMEA businesses has created a strong platform for future success, and our clients and people are already experiencing the benefits. I look forward to working closely with our partners and teams to continue delivering exceptional outcomes for our clients across the EMEAPAC region”, Bromwich said.
Bromwich’s predecessor, Deitz, had served as NRF Australia’s country head since 2020. She held the role for two terms and helped develop the firm’s integrated EMEAPAC practice, which was rolled out in July 2025.
“It has been a privilege to have led Norton Rose Fulbright’s Australia business over the past six years and to have overseen a period of substantial revenue and profit growth during that time”, Deitz said. “I am also proud to have helped usher in the successful integration of our Australia and EMEA businesses for the benefit of future generations and for our clients. Marshall is the right person to lead the Australian practice into its next phase as part of EMEAPAC, and I look forward to working with him through the transition”.
