KWM rolls out CPD program focusing on AI, Australia’s national interest framework

King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) has announced its CPD program for 2026 entitled Sprint To The Finish.

Eight sessions covering all CPD categories will be conducted online over four days. Areas of focus include AI and Australia’s national interest framework.

Futurist and former Atlassian “team doctor” Dom Price is set to discuss AI adaptation for individuals, teams and businesses at a session on AI’s global effect on businesses. Another session will see businesses share AI tips and address the move to digital finance in addition to examining the country’s $230bn nation-building pipeline.

The program will look into changing investment settings and deal-making rules under Australia’s national interest framework and the new mandatory merger regime, highlighted international governance and regulation trends. Another session will tackle practical employment law risk management strategies, handling complex compliance demands, and harmonising business performance with ethical decision-making.

“Our 2026 Sprint To The Finish Program will bring our best legal minds together with board members, in house counsel, AI business leaders and leadership experts. It is a real test of skill to make complex content simple, and that is how this program excels – equipping participants to walk away with relevant information and actionable next steps”, said KWM partner Matthew Swinn.

Last year, over 8,000 registered for the firm’s 2025 CPD program. They earned 14,200 CPD points.
