JANA has bolstered its legal, risk and compliance function with the appointment of a new head.

Lindy Hunt stepped into the role effective 13 December last year. She joined the investment consulting firm from a stint as head of legal audit risk and compliance at Club Plus Super.

Hunt has supervised compliance management systems, trusteeship, corporate governance and risk management. She also brings with her experience in sustaining and executing an effective governance and risk management framework for the fund and trustee – experience she gleaned from her time at Club Plus Super.

She has spent more than 15 years working in superannuation, regulatory affairs and fund governance. Before going in-house, Hunt was a principal at Mercer, where she practised with the governance and legal consulting team.

Hunt also recorded a stint with APRA’s enforcement group, and was responsible for investigating superannuation law violations.

The investment consultancy firm confirmed that in her position as legal, risk and compliance head, Hunt has been tasked with overseeing JANA’s contractual relationships and governance. She will also be responsible for managing the current development and implementation of the firm’s risk and compliance frameworks.

“I’m thrilled to be joining JANA as head of legal, risk and compliance and look forward to contributing to the business,” Hunt said.
