She also has extensive experience in Australia and overseas in litigation, mediation, arbitration, expert determination, and other alternative dispute resolution processes.

She said she joins the firm as dispute resolution experiences major shifts.

“This is an exciting time in dispute resolution and litigation as the increase in the use of technology and litigation funding significantly improves access to justice,” she said. “Recent changes in the Australian insolvency framework, particularly the safe harbour reforms, are also likely to lead to additional work for insolvency lawyers.”

Ian Robertson, Holding Redlich national managing partner, said MacKay adds to the firm’s expertise with the depth of her experiences.

“From an appeal in the House of Lords in relation to a worldwide freezing order, to acting in high profile class actions, Kimberley brings an impressive level of experience and expertise with her to our firm,” Robertson said. “The resolution and litigation of disputes of all types in every Australian court and tribunal is one of Holding Redlich’s most important areas of practice and Kimberley is an important and valuable addition to our national team.”
