Highlight: Award-winning recruiter on the value of trust

Trust is key to 2023 Service Provider Awardee Altitude Recruitment because, as founder Louise Hall-Strutt puts it, “people want to work with people they like and trust”.

Hall-Strutt has built Altitude’s reputation on trust and results, boasting a perfect retention rate for candidates she has placed. She attributes her success to focusing on relationships with her clients – getting to know them and making a point of understanding what they need.

“I’m not interested in just filling roles”, Hall-Strutt said. “It’s about finding someone who will be a perfect fit for the role, fit in well and help the client build their business”.

The company maintained a candidate base of over 6,000, not just its New Zealand headquarters but overseas as well. It has also cultivated relationships with various private and general practice firms.

“A big part of my role is offering extra value and guidance, rather than just placements and transactions and filling the roles”, Hall-Strutt said. “It’s really about knowing the clients and the candidates to make that match”.
