Hicksons expands health practice with new partner

Hicksons has expanded its health team with a new partner in Michelle MacMahon.

MacMahon brings nearly two decades of experience. She has acted for government bodies, insurers, self-insureds, private businesses, schools, and religious organisations. 

She is a seasoned litigator whose areas of specialisation lie in historical abuse, public liability, and personal injury claims. She has handled claims involving psychological and catastrophic injury, intentional torts, bullying, and occupier liability. 

Additionally, MacMahon has advised on negligence claims related to the treatment provided to patients. Hicksons managing partner Stewart highlighted her experience in historical abuse claims and public liability as an asset to the firm’s offering.

Prior to joining Hicksons, MacMahon was a special counsel at MinterEllison. She also held positions at Wotton + Kearney, Hunt & Hunt, and the Crown Solicitor’s Office.
