National WRS practice head Daniel Proietto will succeed Collins on 1 January 2025
After six years, Genevieve Collins is vacating the role of chief executive partner at Lander & Rogers on 31 December.
Collins has held the post for two straight three-year terms. She will be succeeded by national workplace relations and safety practice head Daniel Proietto.
“It has been a privilege to lead Lander & Rogers for the last six years. I have worked with so many talented lawyers and legal professionals during this time, and I'm grateful and proud of what we have achieved together”, Collins said.
In her tenure as CEP, Collins set up Lander & Rogers’ in-house legal operations and the iHub business transformation function. She also established the LawTech accelerator program and the AI Lab.
She also pushed to elevate more women into leadership roles, resulting in the firm logging a gender-equal partnership last year. She also implemented a mandatory reporting policy for sexual harassment in 2020, along with a policy on consensual workplace relationships where there is an actual, perceived or potential conflict of interest.
Moreover, Collins led Lander & Rogers’ climate response, and the firm received carbon neutral certification in 2022. She also debuted the firm’s inaugural wellness committee.
In addition to leading the firm as CEP, she also headed up the firm’s compensation law practice from 2005 to 2018. She was also appointed board chair from 2014 to 2018.
“Lander & Rogers has thrived under Genevieve's assured leadership. Her commitment to delivering the best Australian law firm experience for the firm's people, clients and community will leave an enduring legacy”, said Proietto, who steps in as CEP on 1 January 2025. “Stepping into the role of chief executive partner, I look forward to building on this legacy and advancing the firm in its next phase of innovation and growth”.
