DLA Piper has brought in a new APAC restructuring head with the hire of Naomi Moore.

Moore will be collaborating with the teams in Australia, Hong Kong and Singapore. She comes to DLA Piper wielding over two decades of experience with cross-border insolvency and restructuring, special situations, distressed debt and private credit transactions.

“I am delighted to welcome Naomi to the firm. Naomi’s market profile, extensive experience in Asia, Australian background, and strong global client base, ideally places her to further strengthen our special situations and global restructuring team”, global restructuring co-chair Chris Parker said. “Naomi is well known to many US based stakeholders – including funds, other sponsors and financial advisers. This, coupled with her first-class experience and reputation in the market, gives us a truly leading offering between the major financial centres – and enables us to fully service our global clients’ needs”.

Moore has worked across the APAC region, assisting clients in the energy, real estate, aviation, and retail sectors. Prior to joining DLA Piper, she was a partner at Akin Gump in Hong Kong, where she was with the restructuring team.

“With almost 800 fee earners across our international offices, finance, projects and restructuring (FPR) is one of the driving forces of the DLA Piper global practice, providing market-leading insight and advice and representing leading investment and commercial financial institutions, public and private companies, and government entities. Naomi’s appointment further strengthens DLA Piper’s existing position as a market leader in the APAC region”, said Colin Wilson, who serves as the firm’s international group head of FPR.

Moore will be working across the Sydney and Hong Kong offices.
