Dentons announced as legal partner of Australian Sporting Alliance for People with Disability

Dentons has been announced as the legal partner of The Australian Sporting Alliance for People with Disability (ASAPD).

Under the strategic partnership, Dentons will represent ASAPD and its eight-member National Sporting Organisations for People with Disability, comprising Blind Sports Australia, Deaf Sports Australia, Disabled Wintersport Australia, Disability Sports Australia, Riding for the Disabled Association of Australia, Special Olympics Australia, Sport Inclusion Australia, and Transplant Australia.

The firm will provide guidance on legal issues involving governance, IP, risk management, and integrity and conduct, among others.

“Dentons has significant expertise to navigate the legal challenges that confront disability sports organisations” ASAPD CEP Dr Phil Hamdorf said. “Partners Campbell Hudson and Caroline Snow have a strong track record of working with disability service providers, not-for-profit organisations, and charities, enabling them to bring a rich and holistic approach to our collective legal and commercial needs”.

Hudson added that the partnership aligns well with Dentons' sector experience and ASAPD’s growth trajectory.
