Clifford Chance snatches Brad Woodhouse from Corrs to lead class actions practice

Clifford Chance has hired Corrs Chambers Westgarth's Brad Woodhouse to lead its class actions practice in Australia.

Woodhouse will join the global litigation and dispute resolution team as a partner, operating from Sydney. For over two decades, he has represented clients in major class actions involving financial products and services, product liability, natural disasters, employment and professional negligence.

"Brad's class actions and commercial litigation experience adds to our busy Australian L&DR offering. We are delighted that Brad has decided to join our growing team, including to lead the class actions practice. In addition to Brad’s broader commercial litigation and class action experience, the work Brad has done in defending a number of employment class actions and test cases will complement our growing employment law offering, while his expertise in relation to property-related disputes will add significantly to the Australian real estate practice", Clifford Chance Australia managing partner Mark Currell said.

Woodhouse highlighted "the continued significance of class actions in Australia's legal landscape and their growing impact on multinational corporations".

"I’m thrilled to be joining a global firm and contributing to a broader international network", he said.
