Recommendations cover rehabilitation, return-to-work, dispute resolution processes
In a submission to the Australian Capital Territory government’s second three-year review of the Motor Accident Injuries Act 2019, the ACT Law Society made recommendations aiming to improve the scheme’s accessibility and administrative efficiency and the experience of claimants.
According to the law society’s media release, the submission reflected insights from members of the regulator’s Personal Injury and Torts Law Advisory Committee.
“We thank members of our Personal Injury and Torts Law Advisory Committee for their valuable contributions to this submission,” the law society stated in the media release. “We’re committed to keeping members informed about our policy and advocacy work.”
The law society noted that members of the public will be able to access the submissions, which will inform the report for tabling in the ACT Legislative Assembly.
