Renee Butler, senior associate in Dentons Kensington Swan’s employment team, is not only experienced in a range of employment matters but she is also an expert in health and safety and immigration law. Butler advises a broad range of clients across the business spectrum. She guides clients through employment disputes and leads workplace investigations. She has participated in numerous mediations and has also appeared as legal counsel in the Employment Relations Authority and the Employment Court. Butler assists clients to meet their responsibilities and obligations under the Health and Safety at Work Act. She is an expert in health-related matters ranging from bullying and harassment to earthquake-prone buildings and asbestos issues. She also leads Dentons Kensington Swan’s workplace immigration team. Her knowledge of immigration law makes her particularly valuable to organisations looking to employ or retain skilled people from overseas. Butler is the chairperson of the New Zealand Association of Immigration Professionals which has a good working relationship with the New Zealand immigration authorities.
