Blair Williams has continued to provide strong leadership to a team of senior in-house lawyers and governance specialists during a period of significant regulatory and technological change for the financial services industry. He has been particularly influential in relation to the settlement of Kaikoura and Canterbury earthquake claims industry-wide, including with EQC and the establishment of the Greater Christchurch Claims Resolution Service. Under Williams’ leadership, IAG has successfully navigated a range of significant external matters during the last 12 months. In this, he personally played a leading role with a number of key and highly influential stakeholders (including the government).
