Juno Legal – a provider of specialist, in-house legal support – has announced the additions of two lawyers to its ranks, namely Rachel Rumball and Ross Hill.

"We are absolutely delighted to welcome Rachel and Ross to the team," said Helen Mackay, Juno Legal’s director, in the press release.

“As well as being warm and engaging people, Rachel and Ross each bring a wealth of experience and expertise to our team,”said Wendy Chen, Juno lawyer and head of client experience, in the press release.

Rumball is supporting Kāpiti Coast District Council as a Juno lawyer. She previously worked for the Ministry for the Environment, where she served as commercial legal lead for almost three years. Her experience includes in-house legal roles at Nelson City Council, Tasman District Council, and Christchurch City Council.

She has also worked in private practice, including with Bell Gully, Izard Weston, Minter Ellison, and Smythes Lawyers. Her legal background covers the areas of general contract and commercial matters, procurement, local authorities, and legal leadership.

“Rachel's deep understanding of commercial law and her ability to navigate complex legal landscapes will be invaluable to our clients,” Chen said in the press release.

Ross, on the other hand, is supporting TSB Bank as a Juno lawyer. Previously, he served as an in-house lawyer and regulatory specialist at WorkSafe. His background includes senior in-house legal roles at the Electricity Authority, Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet, and Real Estate Authority.

Ross also has private practice experience with Kensington Swan and Cameron & Company. His work has spanned the areas of regulatory matters, public law, leadership, governance, electricity, and legal operations.

“Ross has considerable experience across different regulatory environments and is well regarded for his technical as well as human skills,” Chen said in Juno Legal’s press release.

“We are thrilled to have them both on board and look forward to the positive impact they will have on our team and clients,” Chen also said.
