Anthony Harper has expanded its partnership with the addition of corporate law specialist Lance Jones.

Jones brings over two decades of experience in the field gleaned from working not just across New Zealand, but also in Sydney and London. He is an expert in matters involving domestic and cross-border M&A, private equity transactions, complex commercial contracts, and shareholder/joint venture arrangements.

He is highly knowledgeable on the Overseas Investment Act and has provided guidance on its application to international and inbound transactions. He has also navigated OIO consent processes.

Before making the jump to Anthony Harper, Jones was a special counsel at Russell McVeagh, where he spent 10 years of his career. He also logged stints at Norton Rose Fulbright, Herbert Smith Freehills and Bell Gully.

He commences with Anthony Harper at its Tāmaki Makaurau office, working with the corporate and commercial team.
