Veteran lawyer takes on the role following the assignment of her firm’s name partner to the District Court Bench
Anna Pollett, a partner at law firm Hollister-Jones Lellman, has been appointed Crown Solicitor for Tauranga.
She takes on the role starting August following the assignment of her firm’s name partner, Greg Hollister-Jones, to the District Court bench last March.
Pollett has been a Crown Counsel since 2003. She is an expert in criminal law and has appeared for the Crown in the Court of Appeal, the High Court, the District Courts, the Youth Courts, the Family Courts, and the Parole Board.
Pollett graduated with a law degree from Victoria University of Wellington in 2002 and was admitted as a barrister and solicitor of the High Court in 2003. She was an associate at Meredith Connell from 2001 to 2015.
Attorney-General Christopher Finlayson said in his announcement that Hollister-Jones Lellman will continue to support Crown prosecution in Tauranga.
