The firm commemorated the occasion at its new office in The Strand, Takapuna
North Shore firm Turner Hopkins recently celebrated 104 years in the industry.
The firm commemorated its landmark centennial anniversary on 21 November at its new office, located at No.1, The Strand, Takapuna. Clients, former staff, and members of the legal community were invited to the event.
Among these guests was Barrie Hopkins, whose association with Turner Hopkins dates back to 1946. He was with the firm as a consultant until three years previously.
The 97-year-old lawyer spoke to over 200 people in attendance at the celebration.
Turner Hopkins managing partner Michael Robinson highlighted the firm’s growth; at present, the team is about 45 strong. The firm also has a significant Mandarin-speaking team and an immigration practice in addition to its focus on property, commercial, relationship, estate, family, employment and private client matters.
The firm is also the New Zealand legal representative in the Anderson Global network comprising legal and professional service providers.
Turner Hopkins was launched by Claude Lovegrove on 2 August 1920 in Auckland. It was eventually known as Lovegrove, George and Turner before becoming Turner Hopkins.
