Senior solicitor moves firms

Buddle Findlay has added to its litigation team with the appointment of a new senior solicitor.

Annie Cao has joined the firm in Christchurch, moving from Wynn Williams, where she was a solicitor for more than two years. She is experienced in general civil litigation, insurance disputes related to the Canterbury earthquakes, local government issues, and insolvency matters.

Cao was also a judge’s clerk for two years at the Auckland High Court, where she handled legal research into difficult and contentious areas of both civil and criminal matters.

The appointment follows Buddle Findlay welcoming Vanessa Evitt to the partnership in July. The firm also promoted Anita Birkinshaw in Auckland and Renee Stiles in Wellington to special counsel and welcomes special counsel Kerry Beaumont in Wellington that month.

In June, the national firm welcomed senior associate Kelly Williams in Auckland.
