Senior associate switches firms

Hesketh Henry has welcomed a new senior associate.

John Morrison has joined the Auckland-based commercial-focused law firm. He moved after five years at MinterEllisonRuddWatts, where he was last a senior associate.

Morrison earned his law and history degrees from Victoria University of Wellington in 2008. He was admitted in 2009 and joined negligence-law specialist firm Heaney & Partners.

Morrison, who is now part of the litigation and dispute resolution team at his new firm, has particular expertise in construction disputes, tortious claims, and claims related to defective buildings.

He regularly represents clients in High Court proceedings, as well as in alternative dispute resolution forums.
