Russell McVeagh to make Queenstown debut

Russell McVeagh is set to launch in Queenstown, extending its reach to Te Waipounamu South Island.

The new office will be headed up by new partner Tony Sycamore, director and co-founder of local firm Van Aart Sycamore Lawyers. Sycamore brings a team of staff with him to Russell McVeagh.

"The South Island, particularly the Queenstown Lakes region, has experienced sustained economic growth for several years. While we have supported and worked with businesses with interests in the South Island for some time, opening an office will enable us to better support businesses in continuing that growth story", Russell McVeagh board chair David Butler said.

Van Aart Sycamore's corporate, commercial, property, and private client practices are expected to be a complement to Russell McVeagh current offerings.

“We are delighted to welcome Tony to the firm. He and his team have an outstanding reputation in the region for delivering high-quality, practical advice and exceptional client service. Tony is deeply connected to the South Island community and shares our commitment to building strong, long-standing client relationships”, Butler said.

Sycamore and his team will commence at Russell McVeagh on 1 December.
