New Lowndes Jordan partner Dasha Kovalenko-Gormack has been tapped to lead the firm’s property team.

Kovalenko-Gormack was promoted after a stint as senior associate that began earlier this year. She brings more than 10 years’ experience working in property, private and commercial law.

She has handled matters involving the acquisition, development, sale of residential and commercial properties, and leasing. She has also conducted due diligence, negotiated terms and provided support on liquidation sales.

Kovalenko-Gormack has collaborated with accountants, planners and surveyors. In addition to her property law work, she assisted in delivering the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

“I feel privileged to step into this new role and continue building on the strong relationships we have with our clients and contributing to the future of the property practice by delivering tailored, practical solutions. The partnership at Lowndes Jordan is built on strong relationships and is diverse in its legal disciplines. The depth of capabilities here in everything from IP to commercial to litigation is elite. That made joining this team a considered, but ultimately easy decision”, she said.

Lowndes Jordan general manager David White highlighted Kovalenko-Gormack’s area of specialization, property, as “one of the cornerstones of New Zealand’s economy, driving growth, investment, and long-term value”.

“Having a strong property practice led by a lawyer of Dasha’s calibre will deliver ongoing value for both our clients and the firm”, White said.

Last month, litigator Alicia Murray also joined the Lowndes Jordan partnership.
