Anthony Harper has appointed Sylvia Cheah as its newest partner.
A property and cross-border investments specialist, Cheah joined the firm as special counsel in 2010 after spending three years as partner at
Hesketh Henry. She is also a former partner at Brookfield Lawyers, senior solicitor at
Russell McVeagh, associate director at KPMG, and solicitor at
Lowndes Jordan.
Cheah, who speaks English, Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia, and Taiwanese, acts for some of New Zealand’s most active property investors and developers. She is also active in the firm’s cross-border investments group.
Her clients include corporate, consortia, and private investors, whom she advises in commercial and unit title acquisitions, subdivisions and high rise developments, approval under the Overseas Investment Act, rural and residential properties, leasing, and sale of assets.
Anthony Harper now has 26 partners after Cheah’s and Katherine Anderson’s appointments.
