MinterEllisonRuddWatts has nabbed the win for National Firm of the Year for Gender Diversity at the Asia-Pacific Women in Business Law Awards 2023 held in Singapore.

The firm said that the award underscores its position at the fore of bolstering gender diversity in the legal profession, pointing to programmes it has implemented to mentor and support women in the industry.

“We believe that gender diversity is essential to our success, and we are committed to creating a workplace and profession where everyone feels welcome and valued,” said chief executive Andrew Poole. “This award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our partners and staff, who are all committed to creating a more equitable and inclusive workplace, fuelled by diversity of thought, gender, culture and experience.”

MinterEllisonRuddWatts partner Sarah Salmond also took home the International Trade Lawyer of the Year award – a win Salmond said was “a nod to all the significant trade deals, compliance questions and disputes our clients have progressed in the past year.”

The Asia-Pacific Women in Business Law Awards was held on 7 September, focusing on the achievements of women in the APAC legal industry.
