MinterEllisonRuddWatts advises MediaWorks on its merger with QMS Media

MinterEllisonRuddWatts has advised New Zealand radio, television, and digital business Mediaworks on its merger with ASX-listed media company QMS Media.

The agreement to merge was signed in late 2018 and completed on 2 September after obtaining regulatory and other necessary approvals. On completing the merger, MediaWorks and QMS Media have announced that its merged business had agreed to acquire ETC Media’s Christchurch digital billboard portfolio, adding 12 large-format digital billboards to its existing national digital portfolio.

MinterEllisonRuddWatts partner Mark Forman led the merger advice and finance partner Kate Lane led the team advising on financing.
