Michael Jonas, a former partner who is now consultant at Chapman Tripp, will leap from the Southern Hemisphere’s tallest tower on 8 June for the benefit of New Zealand Youth.

The banking and finance law expert will plummet 192 metres as he participates in this year’s “Drop Your Boss” bungee jump event to support The Graeme Dingle Foundation. Each “boss” has to raise $3,500 prior to the event. Supporters can donate here.

“The foundation does great work assisting children and youth to find their way in life, and it’s a cause I thoroughly support. That’s the motivation for doing this – and besides, it will be fun,” Jonas said. “Helping to fund the foundation to carry out their good work will be an absolute privilege.”

Jonas is no stranger to extreme sports, having enjoyed jumping out of planes, climbing to heights, diving to depths, and more, according to Chapman Tripp.

The Graeme Dingle Foundation runs the Kiwi Can, Stars, Career Navigator, Project K and MYND school-based programs across the country for children and teenagers. The programs reach more than 25,000 young Kiwis every year.

Last year, Chapman Tripp partner Luke Hinchey participated in the “Drop Your Boss” event.
