In-House Legal Summit a sell-out smash

The In-House Legal Summit was a sold-out success and was the year’s most prestigious gathering of both high-profile expert speakers and legal professionals.

The event held on 27 November at the Cordis Auckland featured Tom Lane, Coca Cola Amatil general counsel; Jennifer Page, Goldman Sachs executive director; Richard Shine, AIG general counsel; and Juliet Jones, Vodafone legal and external affairs director, who all drove the day of sharing practical ideas, innovation, and problem solving focused on the challenges faced by New Zealand’s in-house legal professionals.

“The event was full of really thought-provoking material,” said attendee Andrew Peskett, Metlifecare general counsel and company secretary. “The topics presented provided sources of information including many practical tips to improve performance of all with our team. We will be back. Interesting, relevant and very customer-centric.”

“As a new in-house lawyer, the summit was amazing to better understand skills required,” added fellow attendee Sam Fellows, who a corporate solicitor of the Tauranga City Council.

The event was sponsored by industry giants Lexis Nexis and Artemis.
