Claire Evans started the year at the helm of the firm's South Island branch
2022 Elite Woman Claire Evans rang in the new year with a bang by commencing a new leadership role at PwC Legal.
Coming off leading Lane Neave’s national corporate team, Evans made the jump to heading up PwC Legal’s South Island branch last month. The 20-year veteran corporate practitioner has been recognised by the Legal 500 Asia-Pacific, and has a strong reputation for her expertise when it comes to limited partnerships, capital raising and investment funds.
Evans has worked across New Zealand, Sydney and London. She regularly handles cross-border transactions as part of a trans-Tasman team, and has worked on matters involving corporate governance, directors’ duties, shareholder agreements, issuance of shares, minority buyout rights, franchise issues and general company law issues.
At PwC Legal, Evans is set to create “a truly national corporate law services offering”.
NZ Lawyer released the 2022 Elite Women list last December.
