Firm advances partner and senior associate
An Auckland corporate and property law expert firm has appointed a new partner and a new senior associate.

Burton Partners has expanded its partnership with the promotion of Nick Lovegrove, who specialises in corporate and commercial law. The former senior associate has particular focus on mergers and acquisitions, shareholder agreements, and commercial contracts.

Lovegrove, who joined the firm in 2013, also has experience in property and financing. He started his law career with DLA Phillips Fox and Duncan Cotterill. He is the sixth partner of the firm.

Promoted to senior associate is Alex Foo, who is an expert in all aspects of commercial property, including property development and subdivision, acquisition and disposal, and leasing. He joined the firm in 2016 from Middle Eastern firm Al Tamimi & Company. He also formerly worked at Corrs Chambers Westgarth in Pert and MinterEllisonRuddWatts in Auckland.
