Former AJ Park trade marks head Amanda Griffiths has joined boutique IP, commercial and private client law firm MoranLaw as a consultant.
She has advised start-ups, SMEs and large multinational corporations across the entire trade mark life cycle. She has tackled issues involving clearance, registration, enforcement and portfolio management.
Griffiths has handled matters in the technology, manufacturing, retail, marine, finance and healthcare sectors. She has a particular interest in FMCG issues.
Over a legal career spanning almost 25 years, she has worked across New Zealand and the UK, logging stints at James & Wells and Fieldfisher per LinkedIn. During her near-20-year tenure with AJ Park, where she was the first woman to lead its trade marks team, she managed a group of more than 50 trade mark specialists and guided the team’s strategic direction.
Griffiths clerked at the South Australia District Court and received her LLB from the University of Adelaide. In 2021, NZ Lawyer included Griffiths in its cohort of Elite Women.
