Deloitte’s SG firm adds director

Deloitte’s Singaporean law practice, Sabara Law, has appointed a new director.

David Teo moves to the Big Four accounting firm’s affiliate from local firm Donaldson & Burkinshaw, where he was a corporate partner. Teo is a specialist in tax advisory and M&A and advises high-net-worth individuals, private banks, and trustee companies.

Prior to Donaldson & Burkinshaw, he was a director at Duane Morris & Selvam, the Singaporean joint venture of the Philadelphia-headquartered top firm. He was also previously with top Singaporean firm Allen & Gledhill.

Deloitte added Sabara Law to its network late last year, giving it the boost to be able to compete in the city-state with EY and PwC, which launched local alliances earlier. Sabara Law was established by Yeoh Lian Chuan, who was previously partner at Allen & Gledhill and Rajah & Tann.
