Carson Fox Legal has promoted Xiaoji Li as its new director, reported the NZ Law Society.

He has been with the firm since 2014, advising investor migrants on high-value immigration and property and investments.

Li became part of the New Zealand Police Force in 2005 and worked across several departments, including the Criminal Investigation Branch in 2008. He went on to qualify as a detective two years later, and obtained his law degree in 2014 while still a full-time police officer.

He has been admitted as a barrister and solicitor of the High Court. He is fluent in both Mandarin and English.
