Four lawyers have been appointed to senior associate position in a NZ firm.
The South Island’s largest law firm has appointed four new senior associates.Anderson Lloyd this month announced the appointment of Alex Booker, Rachel Brooking, Emma Burke and Anton Trixl to senior associate position.
Booker is based in the firm’s Christchurch office and specialises in resource management.
She has broad experience in the areas of general litigation and corporate/property matters, joining Anderson Lloyd in April 2013 after working with leading law firms in Auckland and Wellington.

Brooking is based in the firm’s Dunedin office and also specialises in resource management.
Environmental and local government law are consistent themes in Brooking’s career, including time working for New Zealand’s Parliamentary Commissioner for the Environment and in the UK.
Due to her experience working for ‘all sides’ – industry, conservationists and regulators – she is adept at anticipating other parties’ strategies. She is very interested in political processes and systems and enjoys advising on public policy.
Burke is based in the commercial team in the firm’s Dunedin office.
She has particular expertise and a passion for construction law. Experience in this field has taken her to London, Qatar and Abu Dhabi, working on a number of innovative and large-scale projects involving the energy sector.
Trixl was a lateral hire from Clifford Chance in Singapore, and he is based in the commercial team in the firm’s Auckland office.
Anderson Lloyd chairman Frazer Barton was delighted to announce the appointments across the firm as “as well deserved recognition of their expertise in the market and seniority within Anderson Lloyd’s nation-wide team of specialists.”
Nominations were considered and endorsed by the partners late last month.
The senior associates join Robert Huse (Commercial, Queenstown) and Taryn Gudmanz (Litigation, Dunedin), who were promoted last year.
Steph Brown (Commercial, Christchurch) and Bede Maher (Commercial, Auckland) have also been promoted to the position of associate.
