FairWay Resolution is now accepting applications for the Anne Scragg Scholarship worth more than $10,000.
“We want to promote best practice dispute resolution, to encourage thought-leadership and foster innovation within the field of dispute resolution,” said Rhys West, FairWay chief executive.
“The winning applicant will receive a $10,000 contribution to their professional development and they have the opportunity to join the FairWay team for a 12-week placement working alongside some of New Zealand’s leading mediators, conciliators and adjudicators,” he said.
Anyone working in or studying dispute resolution in New Zealand is welcome to apply until 5pm on 5 September. Applicants must submit a short abstracts for a proposed paper on a dispute resolution topic they choose.
Up to five shortlisted applicants will be invited to prepare a full 1,500-word paper, which will be published on the FairWay website. The scholarship panel will also interview top applicants.
“We are looking for applicants who have a real passion for helping people in conflict. This scholarship is open to all who are interested in dispute resolution – whether they are an experienced dispute resolution practitioner or someone starting out in this sector,” said Denise Evans, dispute resolution principal at FairWay.
“This scholarship is a great opportunity not only from a career development perspective but also because it is a platform to share thinking and encourage conversation,” she said.
