Diversity goals are "absolutely central" to its strategy, the firm says
Linklaters has made a major move in advancing its partnership gender target with this year’s 27-partner promotion round.
“Our strong and talented cohort of new partners is a reflection of our strategy of attracting, retaining and investing in the best lawyers from across our global network,” said Charles Jacobs, senior partner.
“Last year we acknowledged that we needed to do better to meet the partnership’s gender target, so it gives me great pleasure to see us exceed this in 2018. We will work hard to keep up the momentum on achieving this, and our other diversity goals. They are absolutely central to the firm’s strategy and ambitions,” he said.
Ten of the firm’s new partners are female. The group also represents nine practices and is spread across 11 offices in six regions.
In terms of divisions, the new partners represent three: dispute resolution, corporate, and finance and projects. Thirteen of the new partners are from the finance and projects.
