Pearce IP brings in med-tech expert as senior associate

Pearce IP has brought in med-tech expert Naleesha Niranjan as a senior associate and trans-Tasman patent and trade mark attorney.

Niranjan has a background in medical engineering and has spent eight years working in the med-tech, healthcare, animal health, and life sciences industries. She has worked in private practice at FB Rice, Fisher Adams Kelly Callinans, and Baxter IP; she also did an in-house stint at Resmed.

She has also assisted with drafting, prosecution, office actions, FTO clearance and contentious office disputes. Moreover, she has provided litigation support.

“Naleesha has worked hard in her 8 years of practice to build her network and industry presence in ANZ, and I am excited about expanding our existing med-tech legal/IP business”, Pearce IP founder and CEO Naomi Pearce said.

This appointment comes shortly after the firm welcomed Rosie Stramandinoli as a special counsel, patent and trade mark attorney (AU, NZ).
