McCabes has enhanced its insurance division with the appointment of Steven Donley as special counsel in the firm’s Melbourne office.

Donley brings nearly two decades of experience in insurance law. He is an expert in contentious defence and insurance coverage matters, focusing on professional and financial risks such as directors' and officers' liability, class actions, regulatory investigations, and professional indemnity.

He has advised on coverage and claims related to public liability, industrial special risks, contractors all risks, and contract works policies. He logged stints at Clyde & Co and Norton Rose Fulbright.

Donley is also qualified to practice in Canada and Ireland. McCabes said his appointment would enhance the firm’s professional indemnity and D&O offering.
