Thomson Geer advises Accolade Wines on House of Arras sale

Thomson Geer has advised Accolade Wines on the sale of its sparkling wine brand House of Arras to boutique winemaker Handpicked Wines.

The deal covered the divestment of the brand along with the associated vineyards and cellar door in Tasmania. Accolade Wines also signed a long-term contract with Handpicked Wines to continue producing the House of Arras wine.

Thomson Geer’s team guided Accolade Wines in relation to Foreign Investment Review Board (FIRB) considerations, IP and competition matters, and the negotiations of transaction documents. Partner Annabel West led the team, supported by partner Demetrios Christou, senior associate Hugo MacMillan, special counsel Melanie Mitchell (FIRB matters), and partner Josh Simons (competition matters).
