UAE-based partner Khalid Garousha has stepped up as Allen & Overy’s interim global managing partner.

Garousha, who is currently the firm’s regional managing partner in the Middle East and Turkey, will take on the global managing partner mantle as of 1 September, filling the post until 30 April 2024.

“Khalid is ideally suited to take up the role and I would like to thank him on behalf of the firm for his commitment and leadership. I look forward to working closely with him to continue delivering on our strategic aims, staying focused on our clients and people and holding the proposed merger vote by the end of October”, senior partner Wim Dejonghe said.
