Don't miss the opportunity to champion exceptional women shaping legal practice

Time is running out to nominate the Elite Women in law

The countdown is on for Elite Women 2026, and this is your final opportunity to help recognise the outstanding female legal professionals shaping the future of the profession across Australia and New Zealand.

Each year, Australasian Lawyer and NZ Lawyer celebrate women who are driving meaningful change through leadership, innovation, mentorship and excellence in legal practice. If you know a woman whose achievements deserve industry-wide recognition, we encourage you to submit a nomination before nominations close on Friday, 3 July.

Last year's report highlighted both the progress women have made and the challenges that remain. According to the 2025 report, women account for 63% of practising solicitors in Australia and 68% in New Zealand, demonstrating their significant contribution to the profession.

If someone in your network embodies these qualities, now is the time to put her forward.

Submit your nomination through the online form by 3 July.

Elite Women 2026, proudly supported by Queensland Young Lawyers, Canterbury Women Lawyers’ Association and Otago Women's Law Society Te Rōpū Wāhine Toko i Te Ture Inc, will be published on the Australasian Lawyer and NZ Lawyer websites in October.
