The promotions add to the firm’s wills and estates, planning and environment, and disputes and insolvency capabilities

Thynne + Macartney has elevated Vicky Martin, Lewis Radford and Conor Harvey in its latest promotions round.

Martin becomes a special counsel on the wills and estates team, while Radford and Harvey become associates on the planning and environment and disputes and insolvency teams, respectively. Their promotions take effect on 1 July.

Martin commenced with the firm as an associate in 2020, and was promoted to senior associate in 2022. She has held both legal and non-legal positions throughout a legal career that has spanned more than 30 years.

She has focused on wills and estates law in the past 19 years, bringing considerable experience in estate planning, administration and litigation. She has also worked with trustees on establishing and administering trusts such special disability and charitable trusts.

Radford joined Thynne + Macartney as a law clerk in 2021, where he began working with the planning and environment team. He has worked on high-profile matters such as an action to overturn a Brisbane City Council decision to permit the development of a major indoor gym.

He has helped to advise public sector organisations, businesses and private clients on the planning and environment aspects in all stages of a project; moreover, he has tackled development application matters and guided counsel for local governments in Planning and Environment Court.

Harvey commenced with Thynne +Macartney as a lawyer in March 2023, working with the disputes and insolvency team. As a commercial litigation and disputes lawyer, he has handled both litigious and non-litigious disputes, appearing before the Magistrates Court of Queensland, District Court of Queensland and Supreme Court of Queensland.
