Firms to co-locate as brand transition planned for mid-year completion
IPH Limited has announced that IP firm Pizzeys will be integrated into Griffith Hack, in a move aimed at strengthening inbound IP capability.
The integration brings together both firms, longstanding members of the IPH group, combining complementary strengths aimed at enhancing services for international associates, corporate clients, and innovators seeking IP protection in Australia.
Dr Andrew Blattman, CEO of IPH, said the integration reflects the group’s ongoing focus on strengthening capabilities in key jurisdictions.
“Both firms have been valued members of our group for many years. Bringing them together strengthens Griffith Hack’s inbound practice in Australia by combining Pizzeys’ strong relationships with international associates with the depth and expertise of a larger team.”
Lars Koch, managing principal of Pizzeys, said the move represents an important step for the firm and its clients.
“We have always prided ourselves on delivering the highest quality IP services, and now, as part of a larger firm, we can offer our clients even greater value and provide our people with enhanced career opportunities. Combining forces with Griffith Hack will assure the combined firm’s future success and growth in both Australia and internationally.”
Aaron Le Poidevin, managing director of Griffith Hack, welcomed the team from Pizzeys.
“Pizzeys has developed an excellent reputation for its work, particularly with international associates on inbound IP matters. We are delighted to welcome their team and clients and look forward to working together to further strengthen our capability in Australia.”
Completion is expected on 1 July, when Pizzeys will co-locate in Griffith Hack’s offices, and the Pizzeys brand will be retired. Until 1 July, firms will continue to operate as separate businesses and independently in relation to professional services provision.
Founded in 1981, Pizzeys provides personalised and responsive IP services for international IP associates and global corporate clients. Griffith Hack is an IP firm with more than 120 years of history, providing services across patents and trademarks. It has offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, and Perth.
