Partner moves to Barry.Nilsson.
Barry.Nilsson. has boosted its insurance and health team with the appointment of a new principal from a rival firm.

David Kerwin has moved to the firm’s Brisbane office from Colin Biggers & Paisley, where he was partner for more than three years.

He brings with him more than 15 years’ experience as an insurance specialist. He acts for international and local insurers and maintains active links to many Lloyd’s market participants, after working for five years in London.

Kerwin’s practice focuses on professional indemnity, directors’ and officers’ liability, and coverage disputes. Don Leembruggen, Barry.Nilsson. managing director, said Kerwin also brings particular expertise in financial lines.

The appointment follows the firm’s launch of an office in Perth last month, completing its national expansion plan. In July, the firm promoted three special counsel and three senior associates in the insurance and health team.
