Meridian Lawyers opens doors in Canberra

Meridian Lawyers has announced the opening of a new office in Canberra.

The firm has brought in principal Angel Li to head up the new branch, which is located at Level 2, 15 National Circuit, Barton. She will be joined by Jesse Iliopoulos (senior associate) and Christine Neou (associate).

The incoming team will officially start with Meridian Lawyers on Monday. According to managing director Paul Baker, the decision to establish a presence in the ACT region was spurred by client demand and the firm’s growth in the past six months; moreover, the move is in line with Meridian Lawyers' strategic plans for growth and enhances the firm’s national service offering.

Li brings over ten years of insurance litigation experience to the firm. Her areas of specialisation include CTP, public liability, catastrophic injuries, workers’ compensation, medical negligence, and motor and recovery claims.

She also has experience with commercial matters, particularly immigration law.

Iliopoulos has worked on major cases in the ACT and has advocated for clients in contentious matters. Neou has worked with private and government clients across various insurance lines.
