Lander & Rogers will relocate its Sydney office to 33 Alfred Street at Circular Quay effective 15 September.

The carbon-neutral building (scope 1 and 2 emissions) was the first skyscraper in Sydney. It is currently angling for a a 5.5-star NABERS Energy rating and a 6-star Green Office As Built v3 rating.

Bates Smart was tapped to design Lander & Rogers’ new office.

He added that the new office showcases “outstanding sustainability and wellbeing features, reinforcing our commitment to providing our people with a workspace that supports health, wellbeing, and energy efficiency - all within an environment designed for the future”.

Lander & Rogers also announced that it has appointed former Holding Redlich special counsel Helen Sims as its new commercial disputes partner in Sydney.

The litigator commenced with the firm on Monday September 8. She is an expert in administrative law, regulatory disputes, inquiries, privacy and complex litigation.

She has held senior positions at Norton Rose Fulbright, the NSW Crown Solicitor’s Office and the Victorian Government Solicitor’s Office. She has worked with government and private sector clients in the law enforcement, financial services, health, education and entertainment sectors.

Sims has tackled major regulatory matters, Royal Commissions, statutory inquiries and enforcement actions. She has served as solicitor advocate and was an instructor to senior counsel in high-stakes disputes, according to Lander & Rogers.
