Kennedys lures former Clyde & Co Australian managing partner

Kennedys has appointed Lucinda Lyons, who was previously Australian managing partner at Clyde & Co, as a partner in its Sydney office.

Lyons commences with Kennedys on 18 December. In addition to serving as managing partner, she also used to lead Clyde & Co’s insurance practice in Australia.

She is an expert in casualty and personal injury law. She has over two decades of experience in working with major insurers and reinsurers in Australia and London, in addition to brokers, insureds, and corporations.

An accredited specialist in personal injury, Lyons also specialises in third-party property and product liability matters. She has also provided guidance on historical abuse issues various organisations and insurance companies.

She was previously a partner at Connery & Partners and was an owner and co-founder of Lee & Lyons, which merged with Clyde & Co in 2016.  

Earlier this year, Kennedys announced several special counsel promotions. Australasian Lawyer also named the firm a 2023 Employer of Choice – the fourth straight year in which Kennedys has received this accolade.
