Along with the promotions in Australia, HSF has elevated 19 others to the partnership around the world. Globally, the firm said it has hired 23 lateral partners so far in the current financial year.
"I am delighted to welcome our new cohort of exceptionally talented lawyers into the partnership,” said Justin D’Agostino, global CEO, in a media release. “As we embrace an exciting future as Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer, our new partners enable us to build on our existing strengths and to add depth to our global offering and client relationships.”
The promotions announcement follows the recently announced approval of the combination between the HSF and Kramer Levin. Early this month, the two entities confirmed that their respective partnerships voted to combine. The merged firm will operate as Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer (HSF Kramer) starting 1 June.
